Vandaag Luikse Markst op de Hoogstraat in Schiedam en AnimationNation is de hele dag geopend met de Disney tentoonstelling DISNEY DREAMS.

OPENING NEW GALLERY

It has taken time, but from 1 November 2014 17.00 , AnimationNation re-opens its doors at a new, permanent address in the Dutch city Schiedam (close to Rotterdam)

The first new exhibition, and there will be many, is called DISNEY DREAMS and shows animation art and comic book art from the Disney Studio's including some not-for-sale items; unique personal drawings made by the early Disney staff in the 1930s, original drawings by Carl Barks, Mike Royer and T.Hee.

Mundial and AnimationNation

The fact that Animation Nation was participating in Mundial and the Feelgoodmarket in Tilburg on 28/29 June 2014 was appreciated by many. We had a lot of fun and had to say goodbye to many of our treasured art, including a Brave Little Toaster, a wonderful Ren& Stimpy drawing, Keith Haring inspired art, a great Wolverine (Logan) and others...

This Ren&Stimpy is still part of our collection :-)

MUNDIAL Festival

Animation Nation will be a part of the Munidal Festival on the 28/29 of June in Tilburg. We are part of the Feelgoodmarket....we hope to see you there!

Het Rijksmuseum van Oudheden in Leiden toont tijdens de tentoonstelling 'Het Egypte van Hollywood' animatiekunst uit de galerie AnimationNation.
Al meer dan honderd jaar is het oude Egypte een dankbaar onderwerp voor speelfilms in alle soorten en maten. Deze tentoonstelling biedt u een multimediaal overzicht van het oude Egypte in de filmgeschiedenis, waarbij de eigen collectie de rol van aangever speelt.
Elizabeth Taylor, Boris Karloff en Toetanchamon
Elizabeth Taylor was de ultieme Cleopatra en Boris Karloff etaleerde in 1932 zijn angstaanjagende uitstraling in The Mummy. Archeologische avonturiers die kostbare schatten vinden spreken tot de verbeelding, zoals Howard Carter en zijn ontdekking van Toetanchamons graf in 1922. Ook kinderfilms komen aan bod in de expositie, evenals films met bijbelse motieven, oud-Egyptische magie en recente futuristische films als Stargate (1994) en Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009).
De tentoonstelling is van 13 oktober 2012 t/m 17 maart 2013 te bezichtigen in het Rijksmuseum van Oudheden.
